Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her mother is English and her father is Nigerian. She was born in an estate in south London council estate and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received a BA degree in acting. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. She has appeared as guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. Following that success, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she had the opportunity to play the part of Bambi in the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in three and two series. Madekwe was the main character in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her theatre credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport for ABC's Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just two weeks on The CW and then it came to an end. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the series' initial two seasons as an regular. However, in May of 2013, it was announced that announcement was made that she would quit the show due to her guest appearance in the premiere episode of its third season. On the show Salem the actress played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also was a character in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. Her parents Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's siblings, who are all sportsmen, played in the summer months and play hockey during winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but could dance. In the end, when she turned 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing when she began the Baby Ballet. Ashley was a competitive dancer in all the major divisions until she finished high school. The competitions she participated in included jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and the acrobatics. Ashley was awarded the best individualist in all the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
